The training team provides valuable insight and knowledge about the system and related topics to help users manage content on a daily basis. Upcoming new features are also unveiled prior to release, and special training topics have included presentations by partners and consultants.

Content Training

XML Basics

Learn about aspects of the XML standard in this introductory course. You will learn:

  • Basic features and syntax of XML
  • Basic features and syntax of DTDs
  • Terminology and special treatment

XSL Basics

This introduction to XSL (Extensible Stylesheet Language) will provide a foundation for understanding both XSLT (XSL Transformation) and XSL-FO (XSL Formatting Objects). The instruction will discuss the tools and techniques for converting XML data to HTML, PDF and other XML forms. You will learn about:

  • Basic principles of preparing XML data for presentation
  • History and concepts of the XSL Transformation standard
  • Basic stylesheet elements and attributes
  • Stylesheet organization and modularization
  • History and concepts of the XSL Formatting Object standard
  • Basic formatting object elements and attributes
  • Techniques for non-presentation transformations
  • Trouble shooting tips

DITA Basics

This course teaches a basic understanding of topic based authoring and common DITA structures.

DITA Advanced Concepts 

This course focuses on DITA reuse techniques.

CCMS Training​​​

CCMS User

This course teaches the fundamentals of working in the CCMS.

CCMS Author

A comprehensive survey of the CCMS features used by content authors across the full content lifecycle. Topics span typical activities performed by authors ranging from content creation and editing, check in/out, versioning, participating in workflows, reviews, publishing and more.

CCMS Subject-Matter Expert

A comprehensive survey of the features used by subject-matter experts performing browser-based editing. Topics span typical activities performed by authors ranging from DITA content creation and editing, check in/out, versioning, workflows, reviews, and more.

CCMS Administrator 

This course teaches the fundamentals an administrator must know manage the CCMS.

CCMS Reviewer

This course focuses on the CCMS Review tools for content reviewers.

CCMS Workflow

The ability to process data in a consistent manner and track changes is crucial, especially in regulated environments. Workflow manages the content lifecycle and ensures procedures have been followed. This course provides trainees with all of the understanding to use the CCMS Workflow tools.

CCMS Release Management

A detailed examination of CCMS-based release management through branch/merge.

CCMS Filtering

Covers configuration and use of attribute filters to manage metadata, including taxonomy values.

Refresher CCMS Training

Two 8-hour training days to be used to refresh your team skills or to bring new hires onboard. You may choose when the training will occur and the focus of the material. For example, basic functionality, workflow, review tools, translation management or reporting features.

CCMS Health Check Workshop

Our consultants will lead you through a 6-hour workshop session to assess your process and use of the CCMS. The discussion will explore your current process and challenges. Following the workshop a report of the topics covered will be compiled, along with recommendations and solutions to explore. A 2-hour follow up session will be held to review the report and the suggested solutions.

Software Development Kit

This course teaches trainees how to use the APIs to develop custom application with the CCMS. The course concludes with hands-on experience working through a sample application.

Custom Courses

Custom training courses can be developed for a client based on their specific needs and application. Customization can include:

  • The use of the client’s content and their specific system configuration in the training course
  • Specific topics or agenda that the client chooses
