YORK, PA – April 9, 2018 – Vasont Systems’ Deb Bissantz has been selected by the Center for Information-Development Management (CIDM) to speak at the 2018 Content Management Strategies/DITA North America conference on April 23-25, 2015 in Denver, Colorado. Deb will discuss ways to help ease team member frustration as organizations successfully transition to an XML authoring environment. Deb will also lead a hands-on demonstration using the new Vasont® Inspire Component Content Management System’s collaborative review module at a Technology Test Kitchen.

Transitioning from a traditional desktop publishing environment to a structured XML authoring environment can cause frustration and discomfort. Team members must learn new technologies, new tools, and new processes. As organizations make the transition from a traditional desktop publishing environment to a structured, XML authoring environment, they often meet resistance from writers, editors, and graphic artists. Deb will discuss ways to make the transition to structured authoring easier for technical writing staff members who are used to working in a non-structured environment.

During a Technology test kitchen session, Deb will guide participants through a collaborative review demonstration using Vasont Inspire.

Deb Bissantz is an Applications Engineer for Vasont Systems She has 18 years of experience in the technical communications industry, including 12 years experience working with DITA content. Deb is a voting member of the OASIS DITA Technical Committee and co-authored the DITA 1.2 Feature Article: “Roles and Responsibilities of a DITA Adoption.”
